GREECE, THE FINAL FINALE *i think*...

if your name isn't amanda petersen, you'll likely want to skip this post. it's mostly a looooooooooooooooong phone photo dump of allllllll the random stuff i don't want to forget from our time in greece. the good news is i had about 600 pictures on my phone from greece... so like 80 seems like a really solid narrowing down, eh?

i shall explain those items requiring particular attention as follows....
flytographer friends! we had an art exhibit in pyrgos where each of our photos were featured (which was really fun- more on that is below), and then walked up to this incredible winery- botargo- i've never seen anything like it. it felt like we were on another plaaaanet. the sunset and the view- i was just completely floored.
while i worked one day, mike texted me that he had the best chinese of his life at this random touristy shop along the main tourist drag in fira. he watched an entire busload of asians go, so he followed. smart man.
this is what santorini looked like most of the time: CRUISE SHIP TOURISTS ON OVERLOAD.
mike's cute.

this playground wasn't.
i sent it to elle and told her to appreciate what she has in the city because it could be worse;)
random shipwreck,
and the best gyro.
frozen yogurt in a kleenex box.
that's what i called it.
they called it "chill box."
more of that santorini sunset & the gallery show...
oh hey!!! this is apparently how harvey slept on my dad. so that's cute! :)

not cute: this. i hated seeing this... WHO DOES THIS!?
the cultural center in pyrgos is where we had a few of our daytime workshops!
one afternoon, kimon took us on a little exploratory walk through the paths of pyrgos (ending back at the overlook at botargo for drinks), which is only improved upon by the fact that we're photographers, so the whole walk/city/view situation was like HEAVEN.
ramona getting THE SHOT of johnny.
nailed it.
more of kimon being awesome, and also, fer juaristi leading a photo walk.
our final sunset with the group, ending with a final view & drinks....
then our final sunrise in santorini! this is our little hotel courtyard.
and then.
the dreaded seajets ferry from santorini to milos.
i looked forward to this like the PLAGUE.
2 hours of being trapped inside without fresh air. i get SO motion sick, so i was terrified. thankfully the sea gods had pity and the waters were pretty smooth (opposed to the rest of the week they apparently were terrrrible). this is my last gasp of air as i loaded our luggage and went inside at the last second when they sealed up the doors.
heaven help me.
when we arrived at our hotel in milos, our CUUUUUTE hosts asked in broken english, "you want friend egg? i make you fried egg?"
then she brought out this spread...
at sarakiniko we shared mike's shoes. because the GROUND HURT.
again, this shoe situation. it was brutal.
plaka stole my heart.
this restaurant that didn't have an english name had some of THE MOST INCREDIBLE FOOD. and so many bees. but mostly the food was worth it. we went twice. and i would've gone more if we could've.
klima was incredible. this little strip of colorful homes basically IN the water. we stopped by this shop for souvenirs, then walked & explored. watched locals fish from their porches. cats jump from roof to roof. then we stopped for dinner on the beach. PINCH. ME.
line-dried swimsuits.
we went down to the port in milos each night to eat ice cream & people-watch.
more amazing food from that restaurant in plaka. this pizza-y-foccacia-roasted-tomatoe thing!? WOW.
abandoned mine above.

restaurant kimon recommended below, which i'll forever remember.
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo, greece!!!
