central park in the fall, 2022 edition.

central park walking date, 2022.

the leaves were 2 weeks ahead of schedule this year- i blame it on this crazy drop in temperature the first day of fall that lasted a solid week. last year we did this walk weeks later (see?).

the fountain emptied out as soon as the marathon passed through (it was 75 that day).

now, all these trees all bare.

today was a balmy 30 degrees.

winter is coming.

7am, halloween weekend, in central park, in the rain...

en route to trader joe's, in the rain, we made a long detour through central park today (saturday). because of the forecast, my shoots were postponed to halloween day (sunday), so today: a walking date in the rain.

ogunquit beach, maine...

from the cliffside we could see the sand of a beach. google maps told me it wasn't far, so after the rain cleared, and school ended for the day, we went on a drive to explore the coast a bit. our first stop was ogunquit beach. we found an empty parking lot with a tiny path leading to a deserted beach. it took my breath away seeing just how beautiful and peaceful it was. we took off our masks and ran free. i don't think i've ever been so happy to run in shoes along the beach. the kids chased each other with sticks while i screamed for them not to, and then after 30 minutes of perfection, mike decided to drop a decomposing crab into a hole the kids were digging and suddenly everyone hated each other and that was THE END of our amazing beach pit stop for that day.
