pennsylvania dutch farmers market, annapolis, & part of easter weekend...

my mom & dad came out for a visit last week and although i worked most of the time, the kids loved having them so close again! we went to my parents' old favorite mexican restaurant (alamo), and our new favorite pizza restaurant (2 amy's). there were lots of pjs around the apartment and play time. a few walks since the weather was primo, and lots of "b-ball!" watching for juju. mike & i even snuck off for a little date to walk around campus so i could prep for a meeting the next day, where he talked with squirrels, and we reminisced on our college days at usu.
saturday we went to annapolis & shopped a bit...
... then we hit up the pennsylvania dutch farmers market, which was incredible! can't wait to go back. often. (maybe not on a saturday which also happens to be the day before easter... but that's just a thought.) the food was amazing- everything tasted like heaven, and most of the baked goods were still warm from the oven! ahh! oh, and the prices were awesome, too.
^^ we snagged that boston cream pie on the bottom left for $10 and chowed down on easter sunday- it was the best one i've had in ages- see, i have this memory of boston cream pie from my childhood where the chocolate was fudge. not ganache or syrup. f u d g e. i've tried a dozen different recipes and restaurants since and never found a replica- until now! it was perfect!
we watched them make pretzel dogs for like 20 minutes. they're so fast! we would have bought one but the line was a mile long. next time for sure...
